Built in the 1950’s and an important part of Norquay’s history, take a ride up, relax and enjoy the views.
Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm.
The 1950’s teahouse, now the 2014 Cliffhouse Bistro.
The Cliffhouse has always been a special place to Norquay and Banff. Families and friends enjoyed the engineering marvel starting in the mid 20th century, and the tradition will live on this summer. Even though the cliffhouse has been open for viewing, it now will act as a full service eatery up on the mountain for everyone to enjoy during their visit. Note that in order to visit the cliff house you have to ride The North American Chairlift to the boardwalk!
Open to all visitors, the Bistro in the North American lodge is open this summer as well. Pop in for a bite and fill your bellies with a great meal to fuel your mountain exploration… and you don’t even need to ride the lift.
